It can mean spending time with them at school, at work, when studying, as friends, in chat rooms, by texts

Celibacy conduct.
After having burned away grasses and having uprooted the fields, the gardeners and agriculturists quickly have to set seeds needed to be planted in the ground at once
Ascetic Practice.
After having padded the 30 steps of life, we found that there are many bad habits such as improper manners we display that are is need of much improvement.
Conclusion: The Characteristics of a Virtuous One
It was due to the great compassion of the Lord Buddha that he deigned to teach Noble Discipline, not only for monks, but for householders too, in the form of Noble Self-Discipline for Householders [gihivinaya], as a guideline for achieving happiness in life and developing society.
Endurance.
“khanti” means Endurance, referring to maintaining our normal condition of mind and body when affected with something unpleasant or dissatisfying.
Target Character Trait # 4 : Responsibility towards the Environment
Having responsibility towards the environment means having responsibility both towards the natural environment (by conservation) and our immediate human environment (by performing our duties towards the ‘ six directions’ discussed earlier).
Respectfulness.
Knowledge of each object or material we encounter accrding to its genuine specific qualifications will be much more useful to us in the long run than if we are ignorant of their properties.
Target Character Trait # 2 : Responsibility for the human dignity of others
Bias because of desire [chandagati]; results in unjust treatment due to the influence of personal love and pleasure.
The Avoidance of All Evil.
Absolutely all human beings are sentenced to die. If a prisoner, who is going to be put to death, goes to his/her execution with joy, they would also be accused of insanity.
